Our New Blog (& An Update!!!!!!)

Well everyone, as you can see, we got a new blog address...The one we had was just not going to work anymore!!! :)  Anyways, tons of stuff has happened in our lives since I last blogged on February 9th.....

1.  February 16-20:  With me at 35 weeks pregnant, we went on a little family trip to Winterton's cabin in Island Park, Idaho where we went snowmobiling and had a blast playing in the snow and hanging out at the cabin.  (We = James, Me, Jenna, Leon, Lorraine, Jill, Anne & Kalvin....oh and can't forget Jenna's new best friend, Jordan!!!!)  Although it was kind of tough for me to go snowmobiling for too long, I went anyways and had a blast....and Jenna had a great time too!!!!

2.  Friday, March 4th:  After getting a runny nose and other simple cold symptoms the night before, Jenna got really sick once again.....this time our pediatrician's office was closed before we took her in.  So we took her the Moses Lake walk-in clinic where they took her oxygen sats and found them at only 85%  The doctor put her on oxygen to raise them up but she was way too worked up....therefore she was taken by ambulance to the hospital (less than 1/2 mile away) where she was admitted to the ICU.  She was diagnosed with pneumonia and we stayed in the ICU for 2 nights and moved downstairs to the Med/Surg Unit for 2 nights.  We were all so glad when she finally got to go home...We were all tired and needed to catch up on some rest.

3.  Friday, March 25th:  After finally catching up on sleep and all the preparations we needed to make for the new baby, he finally came to mess with our schedule once again.......

For the last week before the baby was born, I had been having contractions here and there but none of them were very strong and they didn't continue.  When the due date (March 24th) finally came....and then went.....I was very anxious to meet our baby boy.  At about 4 AM on March 25th, I woke up with a full bladder. When I got back in bed, I had a contraction....then another one 8 minutes later....another 5 minutes later...then 3 minutes....then 2 minutes....By 6:15 I had James up and we were headed to the hospital. I was admitted and in my room by 7 AM.  Contractions were still about 2-3 minutes apart but not progressing as well as I'd hoped. At about 9-9:30 my doctor put me on pytocin to speed up the process (only because my water had already broken)....This made the contractions extremely painful...and they got so bad and close together that she had to turn down the pytocin....but it all ended soon...........

BRODY JAMES BAKER

was born at 12:13 PM on Friday, March 25th, 2011 at Samaritan Hospital in Moses Lake, WA.
He weighed 8 pounds 8 ounces and was 21" long.   He was found very healthy, but just a little jaundiced after a couple of days.  He is extremely loved by everyone.....but Big Sister loves him most of all.  Jenna does love him very much!!! (She just didn't want anything to do with Mommy at the hospital as long as I was sitting in the hospital bed where she had been tormented not long before that.)

Our nurse was amazing with Jenna....she was so excited to finally meet her when she came to meet Brody for the first time....this is her letting Jenna try to blow her bubbles.

This is such a precious picture....Daddy with his little "Spud"  :)

The only way to keep Jenna occupied while staying in the hospital with Mommy and Aunt Sondra:  portable DVD player.....and  TinkerBell

4. March 27th:  Our little man all ready to go home!!!!
Both Brody and I stayed at the hospital for two nights and got to go home on Sunday, March 27th. When we got home, my family was there waiting for us with Jenna.  We had a hard time getting good pictures because Mickey Mouse Clubhouse was on the tv at the time.

Not a very good one, but here's our very first family picture with little brother, Brody.

6 days old with Big Sister

5. April 1st:  This is the day our little Brody turned a week old. I set up some sheets in our living room and took some cute shots of our little man.

Jenna sure loves her little brother.

Already doing such a good job at lifting himself up.

6. April 4th:  Just wanted to get some pictures of the kids.....man I can't believe I have 2 kids!!!!! I never thought it would be so easy to love them both the same.

And then I decided to take some pictures of me and Brody too!!!!

7.  April 8th:  2 weeks old;  Brody has his first bath at home... and Jenna couldn't wait to help...of course.  She's such a good helper!!!!

April 12th-holding himself up even better....I can't believe how fast he's grown

8.  April 14th:  Brody's first real outing....Me, Jenna and Brody went bowling with our friends Traci, Carter and Xander (Xander in the carseat on the right next to Brody is 11 days older but 3 lbs lighter)

Jenna waving goodbye to the bowling ball

9.  April 15th:  3 weeks old; Some more pictures of the two of them while Brody
still fits in his "Little Brother" onesie

10.  April 17th:  Our day to celebrate Easter....since our family wasn't going to be together on Easter, we decided to do it a week early this year.

that night we went to Grandma Baker's house and colored Easter eggs....or at least tried

And this is how most of them ended up....but we can honestly say Jenna did the coloring!!!!

11.  April 19th:  We got a new dog....Jenna absolutely loves Siber...
Thanks, Auntie Anne and Uncle Kalvin!!!

12. April 21-23:  Tyler's Wedding in Mesa, AZ
April 21:  Brody takes his very first airplane ride-from Spokane to Phoenix for
Uncle Tyler's wedding (my brother).  When we left Spokane, it was only 38 degrees outside and had been snowing on our drive there.  When we arrived in Mesa Arizona, the sun was
shining and it was about 83 degrees outside!!!!
April 22:  Uncle Tyler gets married to Meredith Ellsworth in the Mesa Arizona temple.  The day was beautiful, but the sun just about gave little Brody a sunburn.  He did get really red for a while, but did get good color back once he cooled off. Whew!!!!  (But Jenna did get a little farmer's sunburn/tan that day.)

Jenna loved getting to spend time with Grandma Forsberg.
And it sure was awesome for Mommy to get a little break too!!! :)

As interesting as it is, this is our most current Wayne Forsberg Family picture

Me and my amazing sisters--aren't we just the cutest four girls you ever saw????
this picture is just for you, Mom.  Love you!!!

Even though this picture didn't turn out, I absolutely loved the idea of it.  Tyler and Meredith had their first dance that night at their reception and while doing so, a bunch of the little neices and nephews came up to them and they all danced together.  This is Jenna dancing with her Uncle Tyler.....the first real fun she's had with him!!!!!

The newlyweds with my two kids!!!!

One tired little Jenna boo with the Forsberg Aunts!!!!

13.  April 25th:  Brody turns 1 month old!!! I can't believe he is that old already...the second one sure does grow faster...or at least the time goes by way quicker!!!  I really don't like it!!  He is sure getting big and strong...holds his head up by himself all the time...but still gets tired and sleeps quite a bit...except when I really need a nap!! :)

I don't know what you all think, but I think Brody is the spitting image
of his daddy in these next few pictures!!

He was soooooooooo out right here in this pic and I just thought it was funny
how he fell asleep on Aunt Kaylee!!!

14.  Friday, April 29th-present:  After Tyler's wedding, Me and the kids flew back to Idaho with my family to spend the week with them and get ready for the Open House here in Idaho.  However, plans just don't always work out just like you think they should.  On the 28th, Jenna got a little runny and stuffy nose.  When she woke up on Friday morning, she was more stuffed up and her breathing was starting to sound funny.  So, I decided to take her in to the walk-in clinic here in Idaho rather than driving all the way back home.  It was there that the nurses took her oxygen sat level and then sent us on our way to the emergency room at St. Alphonsus Medical Center in Ontario, Oregon.  Well, guess what.........we're still here.  I am actually posting this blog post from the hospital room where my little girl is still sick.  We've been here almost 4 days once again....only this time I fear we will be here over 5 days.  We're hoping to go home sooner than later, but we really don't know what's going to happen.  She is looking much better and is a much happier and perkier little girl than when we got here, but her O2 sats are still too low for comfort.  She is on a bunch of oxygen right now (1.5 liters/minute) and our hope is to wean her off of it tomorrow.  The respiratory therapist came in earlier tonight to do a deep suctioning thing on her to get all the mucus out of her lungs and it seem to be helping a little.  Thanks to all of you who have been praying on her behalf!!!!!

Well, there you have it.....we're all updated right now and I hope you didn't get too bored reading all of it!!!!
